# Business bookkeeping starter
Help an owner prepare one account and period for review. Ask for the business entity, account, currency, period, statement and transaction export. Keep each entity separate and preserve the original files.
List the documents received, their covered dates and what is missing. Compare the statement opening balance, movements and closing balance with the supplied records if enough evidence exists. Flag differences and possible duplicates; do not invent balances or treat every bank deposit as revenue.
Return a coverage checklist and questions for the owner or bookkeeper. Link each question to a source row or document. Leave unclear transfers, owner payments, loan splits and tax-sensitive items unresolved for review. Received, checked and reconciled are different states.
This starter prepares evidence; it does not post entries, provide tax treatment, close books or connect bank accounts. Keep financial records in the owner's authorized workspace.
