MDML · MCP + scoped API
Your agent. Your business context.
Give an authorized agent supported business data through MCP or a scoped REST key. Add a skill for the workflow you want it to follow.
A MDML account, the relevant product access and owner-approved permissions are required. Downloading a skill does not connect an account.
Start with read access
MDML’s remote MCP endpoint is https://app.mdmltechnologies.com/api/mcp. Configure it in a compatible client using MDML’s authorization flow or a scoped key from your account. Keep keys in the client’s secret configuration.
- Open agent settings in MDML and choose the business and permissions.
- Configure your client with the MCP endpoint and the supported authentication method.
- Discover the actual tool list. Start with a read operation and verify the business and source freshness.
- Add only the permissions your next workflow needs.
OAuth discovery: protected resource metadata and authorization server metadata. A reachable endpoint or metadata response alone does not establish a working authenticated connection.
Read tools and REST equivalents
These are supported starting points, not a promise that every MDML feature is exposed to every client. A ChatGPT client’s scopes are restricted to the read-only business-context, inventory and cost workflows.
| Tool / GET endpoint | What it reads | Permission |
|---|---|---|
get_business_context/api/v1/business-context | Saved business context | read:brain |
get_needs/api/v1/needs | Inventory needs from the connected business | read:needs |
get_order_rules/api/v1/order-rules | Saved supplier ordering rules | read:needs |
get_costs/api/v1/costs | Recorded ingredient and recipe costs | read:costs |
REST requests use Authorization: Bearer YOUR_SCOPED_KEY. The key identifies the connected business and its allowed operations. An unauthenticated request is rejected; never embed a real key in a public skill or web page.
Bring your own AI agent
Use an external agent with the business tools your MDML account permits. Your AI provider’s plan and usage are separate from MDML’s product access, integrations and infrastructure.
Start with the available read tools. Tools that invoke hosted AI or paid providers can have separate usage requirements. A distinct MCP-only subscription and scheduling through MCP are not generally offered here.
Choose the right connection
A skill gives the starting point
Use free starter instructions with your own exports for an initial plan, operating snapshot, document check or recipe worksheet.

Read connected records and discover the operations your account actually permits. Additional scopes and server confirmation rules apply to writes.

Assist supported supplier-cart, form, receipt and domain tasks in your own browser. Review the requested access and each workflow’s controls.
See the browser extension →ChatGPT directory and sign-in availability
The ChatGPT plugin submission is in review and is not published as of October 30, 2026. The directory review is separate from connecting a compatible MCP client.
Commercial “Sign in with ChatGPT,” use of a customer’s ChatGPT plan, and ChatGPT Ads OAuth are separate provider approvals. We do not offer them as approved or generally available integrations here.
